Actor Arvind Swamy is busy these days as he is currently shooting for a string of film projects. The actor is back in the news, however, this time around it is for an altogether different reason.
The ‘Bogan’ actor questioned the Supreme Court’s recent decision of playing the national anthem mandatory in all cinema halls across the country. Taking to Twitter, Arvind said that, "With all due respects, Why should the national anthem be played before the start of a movie? Can anyone explain? I can understand playing the anthem where the country is represented or like a big sporting event with tens of thousands of ppl... Exits in theatres or in any place with so many people inside should not be blocked... anthem or no anthem, hope they review this decision. 1997, Uphaar, a very, very tragic incident... exits blocked... pl do not allow or encourage blocking of exits in public places/gatherings."

In his tweet, the actor was referring to the infamous fire which broke out at a theatre in Delhi, where the exit doors were locked and over 59 people died of suffocation due to the smoke. It remains to be seen if Arvind’s words will create a stir online.
