is the second most expensive film in Tamil cinema history, after Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 (Rs 570 crore). Although it will be a commercial outing, the makers are reportedly attempting something new.
Featuring Nayantara opposite Vijay, Bigil has been creating quite a buzz ever since the first look and songs were released. Touted to be a sports drama, Bigil is said to be based on

, and it deals with the encouragement of women’s for sports. The actor will reportedly be seen in a dual role in the film, which marks the actor and director’s third time-association after

. According to the makers, the trailer of Bigil got delayed due to technical glitches and is expected to release anytime soon. And the movie is getting ready for Censor certification.

Bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, the film also features Vivek, Kathir, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Rajkumar, Devadarshini, Yogi Babu, Soundararaja, and G Gnanasambandam. Oscar-award winning composer AR Rahman has composed tunes for this flick while famous cinematographer GK Vishnu has handled the camera. Rubens will edit it. Bigil is scheduled to release on October 25 this year.
