Atharvaa’s next will be an action drama with Kannan

After the critically-appreciated

, director Kannan is all set to move on to his next venture. This time around, we hear he has joined hands with

Atharvaa

for an action drama.

The director tells CT, “We will start rolling from next year. Atharvaa has an impressive line-up of films, which are not contained to a genre. He can do comedy as well as action with equal ease. He will play an ambitious youngster who has a practical approach to life.”

While the heroine is yet to be finalised,

Radhan

, who composed music for the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, has been roped in for the film. Kannan adds, “Prasanna will be handling the camera. I’ve spent a lot of time fine-tuning my story and script. We will begin the first schedule of the film in Tirunelveli in January, and continue shooting in Chennai. I’m hopeful of releasing it in May.”

While Atharvaa has a couple of films in his kitty, including Semma Botha Aagatha and

Imaikkaa Nodigal

, Kannan will also be working on the Telugu remake of his Ivan Thanthiran.
