Chennai International Film Festival known as CIFF is held every year in December, and here is the list of Tamil films selected to compete in the 21st edition of the festival.
Chennai International Film Festival will screen the best films from different languages across the world. Accordingly, 126 films from 57 countries will be screened at the 21st CIFF, which will be held from December 14 to 21 this year. Also, this year's Cannes Award-winning film 'Anatomy of a Fall', 8 Iranian films and 5 Korean films will be screened at the opening of the festival. Tamil films censored between October 16, 2022, and October 15, 2023, are eligible to participate in this competition.
'Aneethi', 'Ayothi', 'Karumegangal Kalaiginrana', 'Maamannan', 'Por Thozhil', 'Raavana Kottam', 'Saayavanam', 'Sembi', 'Start Camera Action', 'Udanpaal', 'Viduthalai Part 1', and 'Vindhya Victim Verdict V3' are the twelve Tamil films that have been selected for screening at the Chennai International Film Festival. It's going to be a star-studded event for sure. Interestingly, some of the unreleased films are also expected to be submitted by filmmakers for special screening.
'Gargi', 'Maamanithan', 'Iravin Nizhal', 'Kasada Thapara', 'Kida', 'Beginning', 'Nathchathiram Nagargirathu', and 'Aadhar' are the Tamil movies that won prizes under respective categories at the 20th Chennai International Film Festival.
