The three-year term had ended of the current office-bearers of the South Indian Artistes’ Association (SIAA) or Nadigar Sangam ended recently. Following the appointment of the electoral officer, it has been officially announced that the
Nadigar Sangam elections
will be held on June 23rd at the premises of MGR-Janaki College with police protection.
It is reported that Poochi Murugan, has replaced Ponvannan as the vice-president candidate from the
Nasser camp. The incumbent team comprising of Nassar, Poochi Murugan, Karunas, Vishal and Karthi are once again contesting the elections for the same posts they held earlier. Looks like Nassar will be pitted against Bhagyaraj, Poochi Murugan & Karunas Kutty against Padmini & actor Udhaya and Vishal against Ishari Ganesh. It is also speculated that Jayam Ravi will be the candidate for treasurer against Karthi from the Bhagyaraj-led group.
