Bhavatharini’s mortal remains brought back to Chenai to perform final rites

National award winning singer Bhavatharini, daughter of Ilaiyaraaja, passed away from cancer. Her funeral ceremony will be held today at her residence in Gudalur near Chennai. Many film fraternities expressed their condolences. The singer's mortal remains were brought from Sri Lanka to Chennai for the final rites.

National award winning singer, Bhavatharini, passed away on January 25. The 47-yea-old singer, who is also the daughter of music mozart Ilaiyaraaja breathed her last as she was suffering from cancer. Bhavatharini was diagnosed with stage four cancer a couple of months back and she underwent Ayurvedha treatment in Sri Lanka. The singer's last rites will be held later today and her mortal remains were brought to her residence in Gudalur near Chennai.

Bhavatharini's families and friends are expected to pat their homage and last respects to the singer. Many film fraternities shared their condolences to Ilaiyaraaja and grieved the death of the singer. Earlier yesterday evening, music composer Ilaiyaraaja took to social media to share a throwback photo of him with his late daughter and broke his silence over her demise.
Sharing the photo,the music composer shared his pain through his emotions and just wrote, "Dear daughter."
Now, the video of the singer's mortal remians being brought through flight from Sri Lanka to Chennai for her final rites.
