Poovaiyar’s claim to fame was a TV show, wherein he won the audience with his unique singing style. Interestingly, Poovaiyar has also auditioned to act in 'Thalapathy 64', but nothing has been finalised on that front yet. However, it has only been revealed that Poovaiyar has signed up to play a role in Vikram's upcoming film 'Vikram 58' with directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu.
