Guess what glam divas Kaajal, Tamannah and newbies Richa, Priya Anand and Samantha have in common? Besides being T-town sirens that is. It seems the pretty ladies have no dates to spare. Their diaries are reportedly so crammed with films, endorsements (and probably ribbon-cutting commitments) that they are saying no to big ticket films in mana Tollywood.
Yes, you heard right. Kaajals shooting for four big films, while fellow hotties Tamannah and Samantha are also all set to give the top-of-line actresses a run for their money with their big films.
With reigning stars Anushka, Ileana and Genelia having restricted themselves to two films for now, the younger actresses are being wooed by filmmakers for their projects, only they seldom can green light a project due to date hassles.
Close on the heels of her two releases Om Shanti and Darling, Kaajals started to shoot with Ram Charan and
Naga Chaitanya this year. I have signed four films I was really impressed with the scripts and big set-ups, says Kaajal. Usually, it is difficult to stay focused on one character when one is doing too many projects at the same time, but Kaajal is busy shuttling roles in four big budget extravaganzas. It does get a little strenuous at times, but the challenge of switching from one character to another keeps me going. I believe that it is the right time for me to work hard and explore my histrionic skills, she adds.
Newcomer Samantha whos quite the talk of tinseltown is also on a signing spree and has bagged projects with superstars
Mahesh Babu (an untitled film) and NTR Jr (Brindavanam). I didnt want to get carried away, so I chose only the best among the many offers I had, she says. In fact, Sam had to reject three big films since she has reportedly signed an exclusivity contract with the production house of Maheshs untitled film.
Teen diva Priya Anand is banking on her upcoming film 180 with Siddharth. I liked the concept and my role very much. Also the film seems promising, says Priya. Newcomer Richa Gangopadhyay has signed films with Venkatesh and Ravi Teja and is inching her way to the big league, while Tammanahs working with
Allu Arjun and Naga Chaitanya.
It needs to be seen whether the hard work and sharing screen space with big stars work favourably for these headturners and seal their queen bee status in Tollyland. Thats a million buck question that only time can answer!
