, Kalyani Priyadarshan is one of the Tamil blockbuster hits of 2021. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the time loop thriller movie was critically acclaimed by many. ‘Maanaadu’ was produced by Suresh Kamatchi and the music for the movie is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The movie that was released in theatres in November 2021, later also streamed on OTT.

On January 6, 2022, the Telugu Film Production – Suresh Productions which is owned by Rana Daggubati’s father made an announcement that it has acquired the official remake rights of ‘Maanaadu’ in Telugu and other languages as well. They have also reportedly obtained theatrical dubbing rights in Telugu.

The recent buzz is that the preparation for the Telugu remake of ‘Maanaadu’ is underway and reportedly Venkat Prabhu will be directing the film in Telugu as well. According to reports, Naga Chaitanya and Pooja Hegde will be playing the lead roles in the movie. However, there is no official announcement regarding the remake of the film yet.
