As the teaser of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ started making a buzz amongst the cinephiles, the makers have landed in legal soup. A court notice has been issued against actor Vikram and director Mani Ratnam, by lawyer Selvam, as the latter feels like the history of Cholas seems to be misrepresented in 'Ponniyin Selvan'. The Cholas don't have Naamam (a vertical traditional mark on the forehead), while Vikram, who is playing the role of Adithya Karikalan in 'Ponniyin Selvan', was seen with the Naamam on his forehead, in the teaser of the film. The lawyer has demanded a special screening for him prior to its theatrical release, to analyze whether there is a misrepresentation of the historical facts in the first part of 'Ponniyin Selvan'
