Court quashes defamation case against eight actors

, Sathyaraj,

Vivekh

, Cheran, Vijay Kumar, Arun Vijay and Sri Priya regarding a defamation case filed by a petitioner named Rozario. The actors had failed to appear before the judge Senthilkumar Rajavel with regard to the same.

According to the petition, the aforesaid actors had maligned the journalist community during an event held in Chennai to condemn a new report about alleged prostitution in the industry that appeared in a leading daily. However, the actors condemned the entire fraternity during the event, which didn’t go down well with the journalists. The latest we hear is that the Madras High Court has quashed the petition filed against all the eight actors.
