Devi Sri Prasad's Sivakumar connection

Even before Devi Prasad ventured into films as a composer and performer, he was a big fan of the veteran actor Sivakumar. 'My father introduced me to the actor when I was a small kid through the film Sindhu Bairavi. My father had written the Telugu lines for the National-award winning number Paadariye and he wanted me to listen to it. I was stunned by the performance of the actor and has been a big fan of his since then,' says the composer. Now that the actor has worked with both the sons of the veteran actor, Suriya and Karthi, in Singam and Alex Pandian, he is on cloud nine. 'It's a nice feeling to have worked with both the brothers. Both of them are poles apart in their characters. While Suriya is a shy personality, Karthi is more fun and naughty. I had a blast working with both,' he says. Devi Sri Prasad is also scoring the music for the sequel to Suriya's Singam, Singam 2.
