Devyani - Rajakumaran

Devayani became friends with filmmaker Rajakumaran during the shoot of 'Suryavamsam'. He worked as an assistant director and the duo formed a great rapport on the sets. Later, when Rajakumaran became an independent filmmaker, he worked with the actress. Rajakumaran happened to see a ten-year-old picture of Devayani while working with the actress for 'Vinnukkum Mannukkum' and fell in love with her. Then he proposed to the actress and she said yes. As their parents didn’t stand in favour of their love, they eloped and got married in Thiruthani, Murugan Temple.

Khushbu - Sundar C

Director Sundar C first associated with Khushbu in the 1995 film 'Murai Maman'. The duo remained as good friends for years and started spending time together. Sundar C and Khushbu have often expressed their care for each other, prior to their wedding. The filmmaker once safeguarded her from a huge crowd while they were exiting a theatre. The friendship blossomed into love and Sundar C later proposed to her. Khushi said yes immediately and they got married a year later.

Saranya - Ponvannan

Saranya and Ponvannan have worked together as co-stars. Ponvannan was touched by Saranya’s professionalism and used to appreciate and encourage her. The duo shared the same wavelength and liked each other. Ponvannan later proposed to Saranya. The proposal too was unique as Ponvannan asked Saranya via a phone call if she would like to play a part in his life and Saranya asked for 10 days of time to make a final call. Fortunately, she said yes to his proposal, and she made it on time as well on the 10th day.

Ramya Krishnan - Krishna Vamsi

Ramya Krishnan, who started her cinema career at the age of 13, played the lead role in the Telugu film 'Chandralekha', which was directed by Krishna Vamsi. Ramya Krishnan and the director became good friends, and they dated almost for years until their wedding in June 2003.

Nayanthara - Vignesh Shivan

Nayanthara played the lead role in Vignesh Shivan's second directorial 'Naan Rowdy Dhaan', and she paired up with Vijay Sethupathi. Vignesh Shivan was awestruck by Nayanthara’s grace and the way she treated people. The duo fell in love on the sets and continued seeing each other. The couple has been reportedly dating for over 5 years now and is expected to be sealing their romance with a wedding soon.
