After the film 'Idli Kadai', the fans are eagerly waiting for an update on Dhanush's upcoming directorial films and now the actor has opened up about the same during a premiere event held in Coimbatore ahead of 'Kara' release.
Dhanush made it clear that directing his next film will take time as several acting projects are lined up.
Dhanush's busy schedule
As reported by Pinkvilla, Dhanush explained that multiple filmmakers are waiting to collaborate with him. However, his acting commitments currently take priority.
“Three directors are patiently waiting for me with scripts. I need to complete the shoot of Rajkumar Periyasamy’s D55. Then I have to act in Mari Selvaraj’s film. In between, there is a film with Lubber Pandhu director Pachaimuthu Thamizharasan. Then I need to complete Vada Chennai 2. Now you know where Vada Chennai 2 fits into the timeline. So, I’ll need a few years to finish all these. Only after that can I think about direction.”
‘Idli Kadai’ marked his last directorial and his next 'Kara'
Dhanush last directed 'Idli Kadai' which is a drama rooted in emotional storytelling. The film followed a man who returns to his village after his father’s death.
The actor will next be seen in 'Kara', directed by Vignesh Raja. The film is a period crime thriller with a strong rural backdrop and is scheduled for a multilingual release on April 30 this year. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead.
