Dhanush fans demand theatrical release of Jagame Thandhiram; stick posters across Coimbatore

There has been a lot of buzz about Dhanush's upcoming film,

Jagame Thandhiram

in the last few days. Speculations are rife that the makers are planning to release the film directly on

OTT

. And, this has not gone well with fans of the actor. They have not only been demanding the

theatrical release

of the film but have also been sticking posters from the film across Coimbatore.

Dhanush, too, had written in favour of theatrical release of the film on his social media page, “I am hoping for the theatrical release of Jagame Thandiram like the theatre owners, exhibitors, distributors, cinema lovers, and most of all my fans. Fingers crossed”. The film's director, Karthik Subbaraj, replied, "Hoping ... #JagameThandhiram."

Jagame Thandhiram is said to be an action-packed gangster flick. The star cast for the film includes Dhanush, Aishwarya Lekshmi, James Cosmo, Joju George and Kalaiyarasan. Music for the film is by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Shreyas Krishna and editing by Vivek Harshan. Interestingly, this is the first time that Dhanush and Karthik Subbaraj are teaming up for a film.
