Dhanush says, '25 years in cinema is very little,' 'Kara' actor teases fans with big films in his second chapter
Actor Dhanush attended a private university event as the chief guest and delivered an inspiring speech that struck a chord with students. Reflecting on his journey, he said that spending 25 years in cinema is still a short phase and that he has only now stepped into the second chapter of his career. He encouraged youngsters to value what they have and work day and night to protect and grow it. Speaking about life beyond success, he noted that school and college days remain the most beautiful and unforgettable period for anyone, as they shape one’s character and dreams.
Sharing practical advice for the younger generation, Dhanush stressed the importance of meditation and manifestation. As per Cinema Express, he explained that these two practices help focus the mind and achieve greater heights. When asked how he spends his free time away from media attention, the actor gave a simple and personal answer. He said he reads a lot of books, watches films, and spends time playing with his sons. Since breaks are rare in his routine, these moments become very special to him.
Dhanush also spoke about his relationship with work, making it clear that he does not see himself as a workaholic. According to him, working gives him the same joy that children get from playing video games. Because of this, he never feels pressured about going to work and instead looks forward to it with enthusiasm every morning. What he said expresses the love he has for what he does and that passion, not necessity, drives him to make a career out of it for more than 20 years.
Professionally, the actor has a lot going on; he states that he is entering a “new phase” as he has numerous upcoming projects. He has multiple films in different languages as an actor, which include 'Kara' with Vignesh Raja, 'D55' with Rajkumar Periyasamy, 'D56' with Mari Selvaraj, and an Ilaiyaraaja biopic with Arun Matheswaran.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”
