Dhanush’s Karnan heroine Rajisha Vijayan roped in for Vijay Sethupathi's film on cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan?

That Vijay Sethupathi will be playing former Sri Lankan cricketer and coach Muttiah Muralitharan is known. Now, we have learnt that Mollywood girl Rajisha Vijayan has been roped in to play the female lead. The actress will be making her Kollywood debut with

Karnan

, and if the reports are true, this will be her second film.

A source says, “Rajisha is a household name in Kerala, after having hosted several TV shows. She made her film debut with the Malayalam film, Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, for which she won several awards. After working in a few more films in Mollywood, she signed up to play the lead in Mari Selvaraj’s Karnan, which has Dhanush in the lead. And now, she has been approached for Vijay Sethupathi’s Muttiah Muralitharan biopic, directed by Sripathy Rangasamy.”

In an interview, Vijay Sethupathi had said that the film will largely deal with Muralitharan’s personal life more than his professional career. We hear that the cricketer would be training Vijay Sethupathi in his body language and bowling techniques.

Meanwhile, Rajisha also has a couple of films in Malayalam, while Vijay Sethupathi has a handful of films in various stages of production, including Master, Laabam, Maamanithan, Kae Pae Ranasingam, Tughlaq Durbar and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
