Suriya is currently shooting for the tentatively titled ‘Suriya 42’ which is directed by Siva. Before this, he was shooting for his film ‘Vanangaan’ with director Bala. The movie features Krithi Shetty as the female lead and the movie went on floors a few months back and the shooting took place in Kanyakumari and parts of Kerala for nearly 40 days. However, according to reports, the film has been halted in-between as there are few changes in the story.
Now, the new reports suggest that the director after consulting with the actor has decided to discard the old story and develop a new story for the movie. It is also said that director Arun Prabhu Purushothaman is said to collaborate with director Bala to work on the project. Director Arun Prabhu Purushothaman gained fame after his film ‘Aruvi’ featuring Aditi Balan was released.
According to reports, the shooting for the movie will resume again next year after the changes for ‘Vanangaan’ is finalised. However, there has been no official announcement from the production house of Suriya that is producing the film. Earlier, when it was rumoured that the film will be shelved as there are creative differences between the actor and director, Suriya shared an image of him with director Bala from the sets of the film shooting indirectly announcing that there are no issues and the film will be shot as planned.
