Director Shankar applauds Aadhi and Arivazhagan's 'Sabdham'

Director Arivazhagan’s thriller Sabdham, starring Aadhi, faced an unexpected delay in its Tamil Nadu release, creating disappointment among eager fans. Initially set for February 28, the film was postponed at the last minute and finally hit theaters on March 1. This sudden change caused confusion, with many pre-booked viewers unable to watch the film as planned. Addressing the issue during the premiere, Aadhi expressed regret over the delay, assuring fans that neither he nor the team anticipated it. He urged audiences to support Sabdham despite the setback, emphasizing that positive word-of-mouth would help the film gain the recognition it deserves. Now, 'Game Changer' director Shankar took to social media to share his praise for 'Sabdham'.


Director Shankar praised 'Sabdham' for its unique approach to horror, centered around the element of sound. He commended director Arivazhagan for his technical brilliance and engaging storytelling, highlighting the pre-interval sequence as an unexpected yet impressive “sound” play. Shankar also appreciated Udaykumar’s sound mixing, Aadhi’s strong screen presence, and Thaman’s impactful music, all of which contributed to the film’s immersive experience. It is worth mentioning that Arivazhagan was a former associate of director Shankar.
