After music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and actor Vikram were recently given the Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates in November, the latest from the Tamil film fraternity is director Vijay. Over the last couple of years, the United Arab Emirates has been presenting celebrities from Kollywood with Golden Visa every now and then. The golden visa is a long-term residence that allows foreigners to live and work in the UAE without the need for a national sponsor and provides full ownership of their business.
Now, the United Arab Emirates has presented the Golden Visa to director Vijay of 'Madrasapattinam', 'Deiva Thirumagal' and 'Thalaivaa' fame. Actor-filmmaker R Parthiepan became the first Tamil actor to receive Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates earlier in December 2021.
After veteran actor Nasser, Rahman and director Venkat Prabhu recently, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan from the Tamil film fraternity to received the Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates earlier in July. Actress Amala Paul, Trisha and Raai Laxmi has also received the Golden Visa and were honoured by the Dubai Government earlier in January.
