Disagreement with Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan's role, and roasting Lokesh Kanagaraj on stage: All about Rajinikanth's speech at the 'Coolie' audio launch
The audio launch of Superstar Rajinikanth's film 'Coolie' was held yesterday to much fanfare. The entire venue was filled with excitement as he participated in the event and directly interacted with the fans. His elegant humor, touching speeches, and the way he recounted old memories captivated everyone. Here is everything about Rajinikanth's speech at the 'Coolie' audio launch, aka 'Coolie' unleashed.
Rajinikanth started by recalling his old days as a daily wager and said, "When I was working as a wage earner, I bought projects many times. One day, a man, not knowing that he was my college friend, gave me Rs. 2 as a 'tip.' The sound he made was familiar to me. I only realized it later—it's my college friend! When he said, "What game have you played?" he shared that for the first time in his life, he sat down and cried."
Regarding the 'Coolie' choreographer, I told Sandy Master myself, It's a 1950s model... all the parts have been replaced... just watch it while giving dance moves!'
Talking about Anirudh, Rajinikanth said, "He is India's first rock star... Not only in India, but even in South Asia, no one can surpass him... Very eligible bachelor!"
"They've been asking me for interviews for 5-6 years. But I won't give up! They'll make you sit on the sofa, tell you to take off your jacket, and rip out all your secrets!" " The hype was created by the Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna interviews. But Lokesh gave a 2.5-hour interview! I sat and watched... for a long time... I stood and watched... I lay down and watched... I fell asleep and woke up... and it was still gone!" shared Rajinikanth on skipping promotional interviews, and roasted Lokesh Kanagaraj's recent interview.
On Shruti Haasan's role in 'Coolie,' "There is an important female character... I asked who is going to play it. Lokesh said, 'Shruti, sir!' Is that it?? I saw the movie '3' at the time; she is a glamorous heroine! How about this role? He said, 'She is more interested in acting in your film than in her father's!'"
"I may have had some kind of disagreement with Sathyaraj's life policies... but he says what's on his mind. You can trust people who say what's on their mind, but you can't trust people who keep it inside."

"I was a little surprised by Nagarjuna's physical appearance, as he has fair skin and a fit physique at 65, but I didn't even have hair. When I asked him, 'How is this, sir?' He said, 'Nothing, sir... It's exercise!"
"The real hero of this film is Lokesh Kanagaraj! It's a film without punch, but it's a film that people have built an organic hype for. He is the best commercial director in India!" 'Coolie' will release on August 14.
With the film also releasing during the Independence Day window, it will be clashing with the Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani starrer 'War 2'. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan's previous outing was 'Fighter' which also featured Deepika Padukone in the lead.
