, starring Yogi Babu in the lead, will have a foreigner playing the female lead. It is now confirmed that Canadian model Elyssa, who has done a small role in
Vijay’s
Sarkar, will essay the role. Says Sam, “We had auditioned for this particular role, and
Elyssa
was chosen purely based on her acting skills. She plays an American ambassador in the film. So, we wanted someone who looks the part. Elyssa did really well in her auditions and we immediately got her on board.”
He adds, “There is no romantic angle in the film... so she’s not playing Yogi Babu’s love interest. But it’s an important role and she’s the only female lead. We are doing the rehearsals now; shooting will begin from December.”
