Now, Sridevi’s close friend and veteran actor Kamal Haasan has released a video consoling her untimely death. In the video, an emotional Haasan said, “I’ve known Sridevi since she was a teenage girl. We belonged to the same school of learning. In fact, K Balachander sometimes gave me the responsibility to correct Sridevi and shape her. I was astounded by her passion. He was very fond of her and I am too. Our paths diverged after she went on to become a superstar in Hindi and I did my thing here. We’ve worked in 27 films and all the moments I had with her were on the sets. We worked tirelessly keeping our families on the pedestal. Her dedication and passion truly matched mine.”
Recalling their meeting last month, Haasan said, “We’re not prone to showing emotions, but somehow we both hugged each other. I’m very grateful for that hug.
