Bala is currently busy shooting his forthcoming film ‘
Varma
’, an official remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’. While filming is on in full swing, an interesting update has surfaced on the internet. If reports are anything to go by, it looks like actress Eswari Rao has been roped in to play an important role in the film. It must be noted that Rao is currently being unanimously appreciated for her performance in the Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kaala’.
The Tamil version will see ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s son Dhruv reprising Vijay Deverakonda’s role. The makers still haven’t finalised the leading lady for the film.
Produced by E 4 Entertainment, ‘Varma’ will have dialogues by the National Award-winning director Raju Murugan. If reports are to be believed, the team is likely to wrap up the shoot soon and the film is expected to release by the end of this year.
‘Arjun Reddy’ tells the story of a medical surgeon who falls for his college junior. He turns to alcohol post his break-up and the rest is about his road to redemption. Upon release, the film won both critical and commercial success.
