On the second death anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa, the official announcement of her biopic film has been made, along with the first look poster and cast details.
Earlier it was announced that director
A.Priyadhaarshini
would be making a biopic on
Jayalalithaa titled,
'The Iron Lady'
. The makers of the film have now released the first look poster of the film starring
Nithya Menon
who will be portraying the titular role of the late Chief Minister.
The film is expected to showcase important incidents from the life of Jayalalithaa. It was also rumoured that
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar might be playing an important role in the film. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
'The Iron Lady' starring Nithya Menon in the lead role will be Priyadhaarshini's second directorial, who is currently working on her debut film, 'Shakthi', starring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
It is going to be an interesting project as other directors like Vijay, Bharathiraja and Lingusamy are also making a biopic on Jayalalitha. It is reported that Lingusamy is in talks with the AIADMK party people and close associates of Jayalalithaa as they have agreed to provide exclusive information about her. Director Lingusamy's version of the biopic will contain more details compared to the others. However, no official confirmation or details about the project are revealed yet.
