GV Prakash's 'Ayngaran' to release on OTT

' is an upcoming social drama starring musician-turned-actor GV Prakash Kumar and Mahima Nambiar in lead roles. The film written and directed by Ravi Arasu of 'Eeti' fame has been cleared by the

Censor Board

with a clean 'U' certificate. The film has now joined the long list of Tamil films that will skip theatrical release and premiere director OTT due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic sitation, which has kept the theatres shut.

Produced by Common Man Production house, the film has Kaali Venkat and Arul Dass in supporting roles. THe buzz is that the film premiere on August 13, 2021 on Sony Liv. The trailer of the film had revealed that GV Prakash plays a serious character of a common man who questions the social evils present in our society.

The film, which went on floors in 2017, is Ravi's second directorial after Eetti starring Atharvaa. Interestingly, GV Prakash will also be composing music for the film while, the cinematography and editing are handled by

Saravanan Abimanyu

and Raja Mohammed, respectively.
