Rajinikanth is one of the foremost actors in the South, and he has a huge fan following across the globe. We can see several hashtags celebrating the ac on social media regularly. Now, the #VanniyarsBoycottRajinikanth is trending on social media, and here's the reason behind the social media trend.
A group of people from a certain community stood against Rajinikanth as the actor joined hands with director TJ Ganavel for his upcoming film 'Thalaivar 170'. TJ Gnanavel claimed to have disgraced their community through a scene in his last directorial 'Jai Bhim' starring Suriya in the lead role. The opposition parties are starting to get stronger as they mock Rajinikanth for teaming up with director TJ Gnanavel. The protestors demand an apology from director TJ Gnanavel for the disgracing scene in 'Jai Bhim'. They also threaten Rajinikanth through social media posts that they will destroy the theatres once the actor's film with TJ Gnanavel hits the big screens.
But we have to wait to see how Rajinikanth is going to reactector over the issue or if will he stay calm to move past the controversy.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, the 'Thalaivar 170' shooting kickstarted with a muhurat puja a few days back, and the film's first schedule is currently under process in Kerala. Rajinikanth is said to be playing a cop inspired by a real-life incident, while the film also has Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan among others in important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, while R Kathir will be cranking the camera.
