‘Hot Spot 2 Much’ box office collection day 1: Vignesh Karthick directorial collects Rs 8 lakh on opening day

Tamil film ‘Hot Spot 2 Much’ directed by Vignesh Karthick is now running in theatres. It is a follow-up to his 2024 film ‘Hot Spot’. The movie was released on Friday and started its box office journey with a decent opening.

As per a report by Sacnilk, ‘Hot Spot 2 Much’ made Rs 8 lakh on day one and worldwide the collection showed Rs 9 lakh.

Speaking about the film, it is a social drama. This time, the film has three stories instead of four. Each story looks at one social or cultural issue. The film talks about toxic fan culture and hero-worshipping. It also speaks about the right to dress, social pressure, and the freedom to love. Interestingly, on the same day, ‘Draupathi 2’ earned Rs 20 lakh at the box office. Both these films faced strong competition from the re-release of ‘Mankatha’. The Ajith Kumar film saw advance bookings of more than Rs 2 crore. This big re-release affected the collections of the new films.
