‘Valimai’ being one of the most anticipated movies of the year has received a grand opening with fans celebrating it in theatres as it has been nearly after 2 years that
Ajith’s movie is releasing. The movie has received a decent review till now from fans. Reportedly, the first half of the movie and the action sequence of the movie is well received and are even considered to be the selling point of the film.

Boney Kapoor watched the movie in Chennai at Rohini theatre at 4 am along with the fans.
Before the show, while Huma Qureshi was entering the theatre in her car, she was seen getting emotional as Ajith fans showered with cheer and love. The actress also cheered along with the fans and she blew a kiss to the audience who were inside the theatre. The actress stated that she has not experienced this before while acting for Hindi movies.
