Actress Krithi Shetty, preparing for her futuristic film 'Love Insurance Kompany', revealed her preference for 'old-school love', valuing slow, deep connections over fleeting romances. Inspired by classic cinema and Amitabh Bachchan, she finds modern relationships too fast-paced. Shetty, who speaks Hindi fluently, also confirmed her upcoming Bollywood debut.
Krithi Shetty will be seen in her upcoming film ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, which is set in the future and discusses love in that time. Recently, she spoke about her real thoughts on love. Recently, the actress mentioned she decided to remain single as she believes in “a very old-school type of love”.While speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Krithi Shetty shared that she likes slow and deep love, not fast relationships. “Personally, being very frank, I decided to stay single because I believe in a very old-school type of love,” she said.

She also spoke about her first film, ‘Uppena’. She said, “In fact, the reason I did my first film ‘Uppena’ (2021) is because it delves into a similar kind of equation between the lead pair.” She feels that kind of love is special and rare today. She likes stories where love feels pure and strong.

Krithi Shetty's love idea inspired old movies and Amitabh Bachchan

Krithi Shetty shared that she grew up watching old films. She said her father is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan. She said, “I grew up watching a lot of 80s and 90s movies because my dad is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan sir; the kind of love and songs we had back then were so pure and stereotypically old-school, and that’s what I still adore.”
She feels today’s love is too fast. She added, “For me to connect to this generation is a little difficult in terms of how fast people are to move on.” She hopes to find someone like her in the future. “Maybe in five or ten years, I see myself ending up with someone who has a similar ideology... who still believes in a very sweet, old-fashioned type of love.”

Krithi Shetty's Bollywood debut on cards?

During the same conversation, Krithi Shetty also shared her Bollywood plans. She said, “Yes, that is something you can look forward to. I’m a Bombay girl and I predominantly speak Hindi, so I’m really excited about working in Bollywood soon.”Speaking of her upcoming movie, ‘Love Insurance Kompany’, also called ‘LIK’, is directed by Vignesh Shivan and stars Pradeep Ranganathan. The film was announced to hit the big screens long back in September last year. However, multiple delays due to extended post-production or to avoid clashes.Now it is set to release on April 10.
