, directed by Vijay Sri G, will be releasing on January 26, the actress will soon start shooting for a new horror thriller. With a few other films in the pipeline, her schedule for this year looks choc-a-block!

Ask Vidya about Powder, which kicked off shoot in October last year, and she says, “I’m strictly not going to be speaking about the film. It’s an exciting, experimental film and everyone will love it.” The actress admits she’s a little nervous, now that the teaser is releasing. “The teaser is being released by big stars (

, Rana Daggubati and Shiva Rajkumar will be launching it on social media), and that’s a big thing for me. But I am actually nervous,” she tells us.

While she has completed shooting for Vijay’s Thalaivi, a biopic of J Jayalalithaa, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead, she has finished portions of Kannagi, too. “It’s cinematographer Ramji’s movie, and we have finished a majority of the portion. A schedule in Pollachi-Coimbatore is left. It’s also a female-oriented film,” she says, adding, “Echo with Srikanth is also almost done. I’ll soon be starting Black Warrant. Aari will join the shoot later.”

Vidya will also be starting a horror film next, the details of which, she says, will be announced soon. “I don’t watch horror films at all. I get scared easily. I travel a lot for work, stay alone in hotels. So, it’s a different feeling for me when I have to act in a supernatural film. It will be exciting,” she signs off.
