I wanted to get vaccinated for my safety and of those around me: Sanjay Bharathi

After celebs like Arun Vijay, Jiiva, Simran, Kajal Aggarwal and Aishwarya Dutta, the latest celebrity to get vaccinated is filmmaker Sanjay Bharathi, who got his first dose yesterday. He took to his social media to share a picture of him getting the

jab

and urged people to get vaccinated at the earliest.

Speaking to us, Sanjay said, “When the pandemic broke out last year, it was a scary time. Even after the lockdown was lifted, I was conscious as I live with my parents. I also used to drink ayurvedic kashyams and steam twice a day whenever I stepped out. I’ve been waiting for the vaccine to roll out for us. And now that it is available to all age groups, I got a slot and took the first dose.”

Sanjay says that the process of getting vaccinated is an organised one. “I thought it would be a huge process, but it was stress-free and neatly organised. The medical staff, too, was friendly and encouraging. There is no need to get scared about it. I wanted to get vaccinated for my own safety and of those around me. I go out for work and meetings, so I thought I should take it. Try to be positive always and get the vaccination done at the earliest so that we help control the spread,” he signs off.
