Ilaiyaraaja sends notice to 'Manjummel Boys' makers for using 'Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan' song in the film

The survival Malayalam thriller 'Manjummel Boys' was released in theatres last February and it transformed into an all-time hit at the box office.Ilaiyaraaja, who is know for his musical career, has sent a notice to the producer of the Malayalam film 'Manjummel Boys for using the song composed by him without permission.

This is not the first time that the ace composer has issued legal notice for using his songs without his permission, he has earlier issued notices to several films for using songs composed by him without permission. Infact, he recently sent a notice to Lokesh Kanagaraj for using his music in his upcoming film with Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' title teaser. Ilaiyaaraja has filed a case in the court that all the copyrights of the songs composed by him belonged to him. The final hearing of the case is scheduled to take place in the second week of June. Meanwhile, Ilaiyaraaja has sent a notice to the producer of 'Manjummel Boys' for using the 'Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan' song from 'Guna' in the Malayalam film. Ilaiyaraaja has demanded the maker of 'Manjummel Boys' remove the song from the film or compensate the composer for the song usage.

'Kanmani Anbodu Kadhalan' is the major highlight in 'Manjummel Boys' and the song was used in multiple sequences in the film. But the makers not seeking proper permission from the song composer Ilaiyaraaja has caused trouble. At the same time, Ilaiyaraaja sending a notice to the makers of 'Manjummel 'Boys' 3 months after the film's release shocked fans, and the composer faces social media trolls for his continuous fight against copyright.
