In pics: A look at Hansika Motwani’s wedding celebrations

Actress Hansika Motwani tied the knot with the love of her life Sohael Katuriya on December 4. The wedding was held at the Mundota fort in Jaipur and the couple had an intimate ceremony in presence of their friends and family. The images from the couple’s pre wedding and post wedding festivities are now doing rounds on social media. Here’s a look into the celebrations of the actress’s wedding.

​After party


The newly wed couple had a cocktail themed after party for their friends and Hansika was shy as Sohael dedicated and sang the song ‘Kesariya’ for her. The couple was also grooving for the song ‘Vaathi Coming’ from ‘Master’ at their wedding after party.

​The Wedding


The couple tied the knot last night and their wedding was held in a traditional Sindhi culture. Hansika was dressed in a red lehenga and Sohael was wearing an ivory sherwani. Hansika looked the perfect bride in her red outfit and the actress was happy and celebrated the best moments of her life with her husband Sohael.

​Haldi


The couple had a small sangeet. The actress was dressed in a pink lehenga and Hansika danced her hearts out celebrating the wedding bash on December 3. On December 4, a couple of hours before the wedding, the couple had their Haldi ceremony and went with the theme of white which was classic and elegant.

​Pre wedding party


Hansika and Sohael made a grand entry at the wedding venue dressed in white. Sohael was cladded in white suit and the actress wore a formal ruffled co-ord set and it was the couple’s pre wedding informal cocktail party. Hansika and Sohael grooved for the songs that were played and it was more or less like a baarat.

​Sufi Night


Ditching the sangeet night, the couple planned to have a Sufi night. The couple danced their hearts out with the Sufi night. Dressed in white, the couple twinned their outfit for the Sufi night. Hansika looked gorgeous in her off-white lehenga as she accessorised with a maang tikka.

​Mehendi


Hansika wore the tye-dyed red kurti for the mehendi and the actress also grooved for a song along with her beau. The Mehendi ceremony was held on December 2 and it was the beginning of the wedding festivities.

​Mata Ki Chowki


Hansika’s wedding rituals began with the Mata ki Chowki last month in November. The actress was born and brought up in Mumbai and she wanted to get married in the same city, but as the couple decided for a destination wedding, she wanted to begin the wedding rituals right at her home.
