It's Official: Selvaraghavan's next is 'Pudhupettai 2' with Dhanush

Actor Dhanush who has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film 'Karnan' and joined the sets of his Hindi film 'Atrangi Re', had earlier in 2017 revealed that he might team up with his brother and acclaimed director Selvaraghavan, for a sequel to their 2006 hit film 'Pudhupettai'. The fans have been eagerly awaiting the official confirmation of the film for a long time.

Now, in a surprise announcement, director Selvaraghavan himself has confirmed that his next project will be with his brother Dhanush and the film is none other than '

'. Speaking at a college festival the acclaimed director revealed this interesting news to the fans saying, "The next film after NGK that I will be doing is with Dhanush. While we were discussing what film we can do, we have decided to do 'Pudhupettai 2'."

Looks like the plan has been going in for years now. Last year at a college cultural fest, Dhanush also confirmed that there are possibilities for Pudhupettai 2 with director Selvaraghavan. Now, the ace director has confirmed the project. Looks like the film will take off after Dhanush completes his Bollywood film.

Dhanush made his debut with 'Thulluvadho Ilamai' directed by his father Kasthuri Raja in which Selvaraghavan worked as the screenplay writer. The two brothers have worked together in Kadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna and this would be their fourth film together and one of the most awaited films.
