Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s 'Doctor' directed by
Nelson Dilipkumar is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Produced by
Sivakarthikeyan's SK Productions in collaboration with Kotapadi J Rajesh's KJR Studios, the film marks the debut of Priyanka Mohan. While there has been a buzz if the film will release in theatres or on OTT platform, clearing all the speculations, the makers have finally announced that film release in theatres in October.
After numerous postponements due to the COVID-19 lockdown and theatres being shut, the film is all set to hit the screens in October as the theatres in Tamilnadu have opened. The film is said to be an action comedy and the first look poster which featured Sivakarthikeyan seated on a chair with gloves and a surgical knife in hand, had gone viral on social media.
The film has Priyanka Mohan playing the female lead. Vinay, Yogi Babu, Ilavarasu, Arun play important roles in the film. Anirudh has composed music for the film.
It is to be noted that the makers of the film who had earlier announced that the film will release on March 26, changed their decision to release the film as it was close to the state assembly elections. Then the film was expected to release for Ramzan and the rising COVID-19 cases in the state and country pushed the film's release further.
