The film has Lady Superstar Nayanthara as the female lead, while Kathir, who won acclaim for 'Pariyerum Perumal', is playing a crucial role. Star comedians Yogi Babu and Vivekh are also part of it. Now, the latest to join this team is Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff. The senior actor, who made his debut in Kollywood with Thiagarajan Kumararaja's cult classic 'Aaranya Kaandam', has appeared in films like 'Mupparimanam' and 'Maayavan'. He is also currently part of a couple of Tamil films that are under production — 'Paandi Muni', in which he plays an aghori, and 'Walter', starring Vikram Prabhu.

Today, Archana Kalpathi, whose production house is behind Vijay's film, informed that the Bollywood star will also be part of the film. "We are happy to welcome #JackieShroff Sir on board #Thalapathy63," she tweeted. However, details on what character the actor is playing are still not known.


Meanwhile, there is buzz that Reba Monica John, who played the female lead in Jai's 'Jarugandi', has been roped in for a role as well. It is being speculated that Reba will appear as Kathir's pair in this sports-centric film.
