The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is all set to be held from next month, and making it to the list of movies that are being screened there is Jai Bhim. The Road to Kuthriyar, Perianayaki and Paraasakthi are among the other Tamil films that are featuring at the fest.
A source says, “This year, IFFM is being held from August 12-20, and will be a massive affair. The team has curated some beautiful Indian films that are known for their strong and heart-wrenching content from. Among the highlights will be Paraasakthi, which will be having its world premiere at the festival. It’s produced by Apoorva Bakshi, the Emmy award-winning producer of Delhi Crime, and is directed by debutant Sivaganesh, who has previously worked as an associate director on Soorarai Pootru with Sudha Kongra. The team will be travelling to the fest.”
Taapsee’s Bollywood film, Dobaaraa, will be opening the festival. What’s more, the fest will also feature namma stars Samatha and Tamannaah, along with Abhishek Bachchan, Kapil Dev, Kabir Khan, Shefali Shah and Vaani Kapoor, taking part in the awards night. Tamannaah, who's also known for her amazing dancing skills, will also be judging a dance competition as part of the fest.
