'Jailer' shoot begins in Chennai; Rajinikanth to join later

Rajinikanth has announced his next with director Nelson Dilipkumar, who last delivered 'Beast' starring Vijay in the lead role. The film is titled 'Jailer', and the makers have also released its first poster. Now as per the latest report the shoot for the film has commenced in Chennai today. A grand set has been erected in Chennai for the early schedule of 'Jailer'. Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Redding Kingsley among others, who play important roles in the film, will be joining the set from today, while Rajinikanth will be joining the team from August 15.

Nelson Dilipkumar has been keen on striking big with 'Jailer', and the director has been given freedom by Superstar Rajinikanth to build the film according to his plan. Reported to be an action drama, Rajinikanth will be seen as a jailer as the title suggests, and the expert will be seen in a powerful role. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Mohan are also said to be part of 'Jailer', but their participation in the film is yet to be confirmed. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, while Vijay Kartik Kannan will be cranking the camera.

After shooting for the film in Chennai initially, the 'Jailer' team will be moving to Hyderabad for the following schedule, but the major portion of the film has been planned to be filmed on a set erected in particular film cities.
