What started out as a small protest in

Alandhur

, has become a full-fledged movement in Tamil Nadu as the people in the state are clamouring to lift the ban on Jallikattu, the traditional bull taming sport. After

Kollywood

stars joined the protest in large numbers, theatre owners have followed their lead and have found their own way to protest against the ban.

According to reports, all theatres in Chennai city will remain closed tomorrow on January 20 from 9 am to 6 pm. Needless to say that Chennai is the main revenue generator for Kollywood films and this move will cripple the industry. This move comes after it was declared that film shoots and film promotional events were to be cancelled until stability is restored in the state. Suriya and his 'S3' team had to face the brunt as film promotions had to be cancelled today.

To top it all off, the celebs who are a part of

Nadigar Sangam

will go on a hunger strike tomorrow, which will allegedly include Ajith Kumar, who will be returning to the city just to take part in the protests.
