Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' will be the final film of the actor, as he is set to enter politics full-fledgedly and retire from cinema. The buzz around the film is sky-high, not just in
Tamil Nadu and Kerala but in Mumbai as well. The advance bookings in several states of India have hinted towards a strong first-day collection of the film. Let's learn more about it.
Early morning shows in Mumbai get sold out
In the financial capital of India, Mumbai, the 4 am shows for Thalapathy Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' have been sold out already. Though limited cinemas in the city have started the advance bookings for the film, others will follow suit soon.
As per the Mid-Day report, Chembur's Movietime Cubic Mall has shows slated for 4 am, 4:30 am, and 5 am. Among these, the first two screenings are already sold out. Meanwhile, the next shows at 5 am and 7:30 am have a few remaining seats, and the rest have been sold.
MovieMax in Sion has shows scheduled at 4:30 am, and several other cinema halls have slated their screenings for 6 am.
In Tamil Nadu
On the other hand, in Tamil Nadu, several theaters have opened bookings for 8:01 am, 9 am, and 11 am. The movie is yet to get the Central Board of Film Certification nod for its release.
States such as Kerala and Karnataka allow 6 a.m. special shows; however, such early morning events were banned in Tamil Nadu when a kid died after falling from a moving truck while dancing to celebrate the premiere of the Ajith-starrer 'Thunivu' in January 2023. Since then, the earliest morning show in Tamil Nadu has started at 9 a.m.
