Jayalalithaa biopic, The Iron Lady to hit screens in February 2020

It’s official. The Iron Lady, a biopic on former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa will hit screens in February 20, 2020. The film’s director A Priyadhaarshini shared the update on her micro-blogging page, “#OFFICIAL #THEIRONLADY #JJayalalithaabiopic to hit screens on worldwide "20-2-2020" #Amma2020.”
The film has Nithya Menen playing the role of J Jayalalithaa.The first look poster was released to coincide with Jayalalithaa’s second year death anniversary on December 5 last year.In the poster, Nithya looks quite like the former CM and dresses like the way she did in her early days in politics. The poster was well received by the audience.The poster also had the line, ‘India’s Margaret Thatcher’. Director Priyadhaarshini is a former associate of director Mysskin. The team has planned to make the film in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
