Malayalam actor Joju George was recently clicked with a walking stick and a cast on one of his legs. Soon, there were speculations that he had suffered an injury while shooting for an action sequence that included a helicopter in Mani Ratnam's Thug Life. Reports also suggested that the actor has been advised by doctors to rest for a few days.
When we contacted Siva Ananth, one of the film's producers, he clarified, “Joju is fine. He has sprained his leg. It wasn’t an accident. This didn’t happen due to an action sequence; he had finished the filming properly. However he worked through the pain and finished the schedule successfully. We are grateful to him for that.”
The film's stunt choreographers, Anbariv, also confirmed that the injury did not happen while shooting a stunt scene.
