Jyotika recently reacted to a fan’s comment comparing her husband, Suriya, to actor-politician Vijay, claiming that Vijay was better. Noticing the remark, Jyotika initially responded with a laughing emoji but later deleted both her reply and the original comment. Despite the deletion, Reddit users were quick to capture and share the exchange, drawing significant attention online.

The incident sparked discussions among social media users, with some questioning the intent behind her response. One user criticized the comment itself, saying, "Audacity to tell a woman that another person is better than her husband." Another speculated, "Is she laughing sarcastically, or did she not understand the remark?" A third user defended Jyotika, writing, "I have to respect her as a wife. When asked if she and Suriya leave for shoots with their "dabbas," she humorously replied, "We leave the superstardom outside the door when we enter home. There, we are just parents to our kids. And when it comes to dabbas, the real priority is our children, it's more about what goes into their school lunchboxes in the morning."
