Kalidas Jayaram's onasadhya with home-grown vegetables

Onam celebrations are incomplete without onasadhya. The multi-course feast served on banana leaf is one of the most important elements of Onam. As much as the involvement of everyone in a family to design the athapookalam,

onasadhya

is also prepared with everyone’s involvement.

And today being Thiruvonam, one of the most auspicious days during the festival, social media is flooded with photos of onasadhya, athapookalam and everyone dressed in new attires.



Kalidas Jayaram of ‘Meen Kuzhambum Mann Paanaiyum’ fame and son of actor Jayaram, too, has taken to social media to wish everyone a happy Onam. And the young actor seems to take so much pride in preparing this year’s onasadhya with

home-grown vegetables

. And he has shared a few photos of vegetables from his garden. Kalidas has been involved in

farming

the last two months. And in an earlier interview with us, the actor had told us that his aim was to prepare onasadhya with vegetables from his own garden. And he has kept his word! On his social media page, the actor has shared an image of his family as well – all dressed in Onam attire.



The young actor has turned the front yard and landscaped area of their family house in Chennai into a vegetable garden. And Kalidas had mentioned that it was his dad who inspired him to take up farming. He had also added that farming made him more patient and disciplined as he believed that without him being systematic, the plants in his garden would grow well and yield.
