Popular Indian actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam party leader Kamal Haasan took oath in Tamil in the Rajya Sabha today (July 25) and began his political journey as a Member of Parliament. Before taking the oath, he said in Tamil, "I am going to register my name. I will do my duty as an Indian." He was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha in June with the support of the DMK-led alliance and has now officially begun his duties in Parliament.
