Kamal Haasan cherishes memories of SP Balasubrahmanyam on his birth anniversary

SP Balasubrahmanyam aka SPB, the well-known playback singer passed away in 2020 due to COVID-19, and he left an irreplaceable place in the industry. Yesterday (June 4) marked the birthday anniversary of SP Balasubrahmanyam, and several cinema stars and fans remembered the legendary singer. Kamal Haasan, who was busy with Lok Sabha election results on the Result day, has penned a message remembering SP Balasubrahmanyam on his social media page. "If Annayya SPB Garu had been there, we would be celebrating her 78th birthday today. Saying this does not mean that he does not exist today. On his birthday, I cherish the memories of my dear brother who sang the life of song according to musical rhythm".


SP Balasubrahmanyam and Kamal Haasan share a great friendship, and the former has sung several superhit songs in the latter's films. 'Neela Vaana Odaiyil', 'Sandhu Pottu', 'Engeyum Epothum', and 'Valaiyosai' are a few among the famous songs of SP Balasubrahmanyam from Kamal Haasan's films. Earlier yesterday, Ilaiyaraaja remembered SP Balasubrahmanyam as he could feel the absence of the late singer's absence.

Kamal Haasan will be next seen on big screens in 'Indian 2', which is directed by Shankar, and the film is scheduled to release on July 12. The veteran actor is currently filming for Mani Ratnam's directorial 'Thug Life' and the film shooting is progressing firmly. Kamal Haasan has taken a break from the film shoot, and he will be resuming the filming soon.
