Kamal Haasan plans to quit films after Shankar's 'Indian 2'

', which is a sequel to his 1996 release 'Indian'. The movie will be directed by eminent director S.Shankar. Much was speculated about Kamal's acting ventures after he announced his stepping into active politics. Earlier it was also thought that '

Vishwaroopam 2

' would be Kamal last film, after which he would concentrate on his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam. However, the actor later confirmed he is doing 'Indian 2', which will mark the reunion of Shankar and Kamal after two decades.


According to reports, during an event in Kochi, Kamal while speaking on his acting career said he will focus on his political career after 'Indian 2'. Kamal said his political party will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu.

The news will also be a huge disappointment for Kamal Haasan's fans. Also, it will put another film 'Thevar Magan 2' in jeopardy. The actor had recently announced that he will be doing a sequel to his super hit 1992 film 'Thevar Magan'.

'Indian 2' also stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Directed by Shankar, the shooting of the film is slated to start on December 14.
