In a recent interview, Kamal Haasan revealed that he had plans to make ‘Vikram’ in the late 1980’s, but dropped it as the story was up to mark. He also revealed that the film was initially titled ‘

Hitlist

’, however, it was then changed to ‘Vikram’. The actor also went on to reveal that the idea of making the film around drug mafia came to his mind in the 1980s, when the news of 750 kgs of drugs seized came out. He added that director Lokesh Kanagaraj made the film after doing justice to the earlier screenplay.

Meanwhile, ‘Vikram’ has been critically acclaimed and has received positive reviews from fans. The movie has already made a box office collection of Rs 90 crore globally. The film featuring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, followed by Suriya’s cameo role has been receiving continuous praises.

‘Vikram’ is not only working well in Tamil Nadu, but also performing well in other South states as well as in USA and Australia. ‘Vikram’ is a film that marks the comeback of Kamal Haasan as an actor in Tamil cinema after a four year gap.
