Aksharaa Haasan, daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan, has issued a strong public statement against a man allegedly misusing her and her family’s name for fraudulent activities.

On Thursday (June 5), Aksharaa informed her followers and industry peers about a person named Ibrahim Akhtar, who has been falsely claiming to be associated with her family in a professional capacity. According to her post, the individual has been pretending to operate from an office in Ooty and is telling people that the Haasan family is backing his production ventures.
"To my fellow fraternity members, please be informed that a person named Ibrahim Akhtar is falsely using my name and my family's name, claiming we are involved in producing projects and operating from an office in Ooty," Aksharaa posted on her Instagram account.
The Vivegam actress further stated that she and her family have no connection with the man in question.
"We are taking the necessary steps to address this matter. We are taking necessary legal steps to address this issue," she added in her statement.
She requested her fans, family, and friends not to engage with or encourage the person in any way.
